FORWARD CABIN

The forward cabin extends from the bulkheads separating it from the head on the port side and the hanging locker on the starboard side.

Forward Cabin

A bunk fills a large part of the cabin on the port side:

  • Cedar lines the port side.
  • A light is on the bulkhead at the head of the bunk.
  • A round opening at the foot of the mattress opens to the area under the deck where the anchor chain is stored.

Under the bunk is a large storage area. Currently stowed there are:

  • a small power vac for use cleaning the boat when shore power is available;
  • large and small ropes;
  • larger tools.

On the starboard side of the front cabin are open shelves which may be used for any purpose. Currently stored there are:

  • paper charts,
  • sheets and pillowcases in plastic envelopes,
  • the cockpit cover, and
  • other similar items.
